LauraC writes "I'm starting a book club in Hampton and would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in coming along.
It would be held on a weeknight once a month (probably the first Tuesday of the month) at my house in Hampton Vale.
I'm looking for up to seven people (as many as I can seat!). I plan for it to be informal and friendly, and we'll decide amongst us which book we'd like to read each month.
If you fancy a relaxed evening, a chance to meet people and chat over a glass of wine, then send me a message to laura.collins.editor@gmail.com or call on 01733 247844.
Laura"

newHNAchair writes "I have just removed the Christmas Tree Lights from the trees in Hampton Hargate & Hampton Vale and was dismayed to find that both sets had been vandalised with each set cut into 3 pieces. Additionally, the electrical connection box by the Hargate tree has been smashed. I will be reporting these acts of vandalism to the police. These lights are now unusable and were only replaced this year following a similar act of vandalism last year. Due to the cost of replacing these lights, let alone the time & effort to install them, the HNA will now have to consider whether it is able to continue to put lights on the trees in the future.

Latest News: HATS Move To Hampton - Open Evening, Free Glass Of Wine!
|
 |
 |
HATSmember writes "New for 2007 - HATS to Relaunch In Hampton!
The Hampton Amateur Theatre Society was formed in 2005 by Hampton residents wanting to meet new friends and to provide a fun outlet for people interested in local theatre arts. Our base was in Yaxley, where we performed two hilarious comedy stage shows with rave reviews. Outside of this, the members pride themselves on organising fantastically fun social evenings in Hampton - as a member of HATS you can look forward to karaoke nights, quiz nights, barbecues, or fancy dress parties that go on well-into the night, all fuelled by a tipple or two. HATS is as much a vibrant social group as it is a comedy drama group.
New for 2007, HATS is now relaunching in Hampton.
Open Evening - Free glass of wine!
If you are worried about joining an established social group, have no fear! Our open evening and new base location is an ideal opportunity to come to meet your neighbours and make new friends in Hampton. Housewives, business professionals, and college students are examples of a variety of past members of HATS, all having little or no experience of acting.
Come along on Tuesday 9th January 2007to the Hampton Community Room in Hargate Way, next to Hargate Primary School, at 8.30pm for a free glass of wine. We will then commence regular weekly meetings, when we will be having fun chosing a new comedy play for the Hampton community to enjoy. (Please note - over 16's only).
Visit our website for more details www.hamptonscomedytheatre.co.uk or phone 01733 341996.

Duath writes "Date Peterborough? So whats all the fuss about?
Theres hundreds of dating sites why use this one??
When it comes to internet dating, most sites demand that you pay high membership fees to search the profiles of people who live so far away it is impractical for you to ever meet and even if you do meet someone: do you want to move?!, do they want to move?! Are you really looking for a long distance relationship?!
The Internet is a huge place, full of everything you could ever need, BUT only rarly can you find it and then if you can its probably a thousand miles too far away! This is the problem with almost all dating sites, well not anymore!
Peterborough has a popoulation of over 165,000 people so lets meet them!
Date Peterborough is a brilliant way to meet people in the Greater Peterborough Area, whether you're looking for fun, friends, romance or love. Offering full membership at only £6.50 per month (which you can cancel at any point), and members who you can realistically meet, the next day even! in Queensgate for a coffee perhaps!
We can't guarantee success but you'll have more fun trying here and more chance of success than you'll ever have by aimlessly hanging around in bars, hoping you'll meet someone at work, through a friend or in the supermarket!!
Date Peterborough is devoted to finding your perfect partner by using the very latest computer technology to match you with like-minded people."

The Hampton Amateur Theatre Society (HATS) is inviting people over 16 to join it's comedy drama group. Lack of members mean we may have to fold, which would be a shame for Hampton.
HATS meets every Tuesday at 7.30pm at Owen Pooley Hall, 48 Main Street, Yaxley. For more information phone 01733 341996 or email hampton-ats@hotmail.com or visit the website www.hamptonscomedytheatre.co.uk"

The Hampton Neighbourhood Assn (HNA) is a voluntary body of Hampton residents who are doing their utmost to ensure that Hampton remains a desirable place to live - all of our work is completed in between full-time jobs.
We acknowledge there are many issues that residents feel strongly about including road adoption, crime, play parks, shopping trolleys, broadband etc etc - these are being addressed. However, feedback to residents is poor and we have, therefore, resurrected the Hampton Herald.com website.
This is evolving and will provide an update on all the current issues. Additionally we are working hard to establish a productive relationship with O&H and other organisations within Hampton.
If you want the latest official information on current issues please contact us through the Hampton Herald website - we will endeavour to reply as quickly as possible. In addition I plan to make the minutes of each meeting available to provide the latest actions.
All residents will be made most welcome at our monthly HNA meetings - next meeting will be 20th July in the Hampton Hargate Community Room. Meetings, thereafter, will be the 2nd Thursday of each month.
